Public Policy Seminar Series Set To Begin Tuesday Night In BR





Louisiana Independent Study Group
The Louisiana Independent Study Group is a non-partisan policy organization that seeks to bring diverse groups of policy-makers and stakeholders together to further the common goal of delivering effective, efficient and equitable policy and governance to the citizens of Louisiana. The Louisiana Independent Study Group seeks to foster communication and collaboration between various interests in state and local policy.

The first public policy seminar series will be held from six to nine PM., Tuesday, January 19, January 26 and February 2 in the second floor conference room of the Business First Bank building at 8440 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This important series of discussions and lectures on Louisiana policy is timed to precede the opening of the special session of the Louisiana Legislature.
The public policy seminar series includes leaders in statewide public policy in areas of interest to policy makers, lobbyists, public administrators and managers, and constituent stakeholders. Topics include all areas of state policy.
Speakers will give an overview of where we are with state policy and where we are headed. They will discuss the problems with state government today, and what we need to do to solve them. Finally, they will answer the question of what is different today, in the next session and the next four years.
